Some Days It Just Helps To Whine... (or keeps our brains from exploding maybe?)

Here we are again. And yup, I'm still up. I'm in pain. Big pain. I often do have some kind of aches and pain happening but not to the extent I've had this week nor lasting quite so long. I'm thinking it must be contagious. It hopped through the phone lines! I say this because my son, who also has CFS/FM told me he was having bad spasms this week.

Ok, no. That does NOT mean I'm mental, nor that CFS/FM is just all in our heads. Well, it might be in our heads - they say it is a brain-central nervous system thing (my own theory is that it's connected to the vestibular /sensory system and we are constantly on overload...) - but it most certainly is NOT imaginary. Oh, I wish it were. Imaginary things you could imagine disappearing and staying away permanently! We aren't quite that lucky.

For those of you who are curious, or care, the terrible spasms are mostly in my upper back and shoulders which isn't so unusual for me. But they've also been across the area of my diaphragm, and that is different, and annoying! Along with that I've also had tingling in various places, my gait feels off, my left leg heavy, and my brain seems to have taken a vacation and is as foggy was the skyline has been. I am not having fun.

Stress doesn't help anything, including these conditions. It does not cause them regardless what some make think, but it sure can make it worse. Like so many others these days income is sparse, to say the least. Money wouldn't cure all that ails me, but hey, a winning lotto could sure make me much more comfortable! Got one you'd like to share?

Should I mention the humidity and how I discovered that it is the culprit causing my coughing and sputtering for days on end? Ugh. Of course that doesn't help chest and back to relax much either...

When you're ill like we are small things matter. We're so limited in where we can go and what we can do. For most of us our laptops or pc's are our most prize possessions. They connect us to our friends, allow some of us to work and let us play even while in bed. Unfortunately I'm finding that using one is also compounding my back and shoulder problems too though. .

Some days just seem like this...
