I Have A Brainful

I have a brain full of thoughts today. Lots of various things. It's so full perhaps it's falling out my ears?

I've been thinking about thinking. Now isn't that a strange thing to be thinking about? Basically I've been thinking about what we think about, those of us who are ill. Actually even the sorts of things those who aren't ill think about too. Probably the word which would describe most of those thoughts is "fussing". Yup, I fuss about things. Bet you do too.

Part of the reason I've been thinking about thinking is from a scripture in the Bible in Phillipians. It's instruction on what things to think about. Imagine that! "think on these things: ---". Funny how all these years later we're now talking so much about neuroplasticity and how the brain can rewire itself, and how many of these new "treatments" some PWC's are finding some help from have to do with getting in a stress loop and techniques to break that loop. What are we thinking about? When the stress handler/interpretor of the brain gets stuck in "tilt mode" doesn't take much to trigger yet more stress.

I'm sure I'll be blogging more along this line in the future. Neuroplasticity is a fascinating subject and I am most curious about these various treatments people are trying that sometimes bring some improvement to their lives. At the moment that's what I'm aiming for, improvement. I don't expect 'cure', at least not from the medical profession.

Before I sign off here I'd like to share an old friend's blog with you. I confess I'm a bit jealous! I just love her stuff. She's so creative! Take a look for yourself -Dianne's Blog

[PS Yes, I did mean to write this a bit circular to entertain you and it illustrates how my brain works most days! LOL]
